(b. c. 1940). 6th dan Aikikai. Ph. D. in Psychology, Harvard University. Early American practitioner who studied two-and-a-half years at the AIKIKAI HOMBU DOJO in early 1960s. Studied in Shingu with Michio HIKITSUCHI in 1974. Currently trains with Hiroshi KATO. In 1975, established Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California where the regular curriculum includes aikido instruction.
